Fundraising is a great way to make your group tour with eduSTAR more reasonable. Fundraising not only works to raise money, but also gives your group a lesson on innovation, organization, cooperation and a sense of pride in their ability to achieve their goals.

There are many choices when it comes to fundraising for your group tour. There are “DO IT YOUR SELF” types of activities, such as:

• Raffle Tickets
• Car Wash
• Baked Goods
• Walkathon
• Candy sales
• Drama or dance event
  ..and many more.

The other approach for your group tour fundraising is to sell items through

Regardless of how your group decides to proceed, you should follow these helpful hints:

• Start early. Once you know the dates for your group tour work backwards and stage your fundraisers
• Make sure the administration approves fundraising in school or on its property.
• Form a fundraising committee of students, parents and PTA members.
• Determine how the group will assign fundraising amounts that are received. Most groups assign the amounts received by a particular student to that student’s account. That is appropriate for individual sales, such as candy sales. On other occasions, a decision is made to divide all of the funds to all of the students that are traveling. That is something you can do with group activities such as a car wash.
